You’ve got your Scenario Cards... now what? While these decks are famous for sparking late-night deep dives with friends, their versatility goes much further than the dinner table.
Because our questions are designed by therapists to bypass the inner critic, they can be used as powerful tools for self-discovery, professional coaching, and even workplace culture.
If you’re ready to get the most out of your collection, here are six ways to dive in.
1. The Solo Deep Dive (Journaling) 🌶️
Sometimes the most important conversation you can have is with yourself. Use Scenario Cards as raw, unedited journaling prompts.
As our customer Nancy Luu says: “I’ve been using these as journaling prompts and find they complement the work I'm doing in therapy. The spice level rating is fun, and I love the aesthetics!”
2. The Voice Note Reflection 🌶️🌶️
Speak your message out loud, as if you’re recording it for the entire world. Then listen back. Notice: what emotions come up when you hear your own words?
3. Strengthening Your Partnership 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Bring a high-spice question into a date night. Pro-tip: Share your answer first to set the tone, then hold space for your partner’s answer without rushing.
“Thank you Scenario Cards for getting me closer to my partner," shares Stan M. "We have been together 11 years, but some of the things that came up we had never discussed before!”
4. Connecting with Elders and Family 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Ask a sibling, parent, or grandparent a "What if" question during a walk or a shared meal. Be prepared for silence, resistance, or magic… All are welcome parts of the process.
5. In the Therapy or Coaching Room 🌶️🌶️🌶️
If you are a professional, use a card at the end of a deep session to help your client reorient. It leaves them with a sense of grounding, curiosity, and wonder to carry into their week.
Coach Abdul H. takes it a step further: “I use these cards with my clients to find their calling. After the sessions, I gift them these cards so they can continue the conversations with people close to them.”
6. At the Office or Team Retreats 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Break the ice, for real. Use a question to open a meeting or retreat. Frame it as team bonding, and model vulnerability by answering first to show your team it’s safe to be human at work.
One Card, Infinite Possibilities
As you can tell, there are a lot of ways to work with these cards. And, you can work with the same card multiple times in many different situations!
We’ve also just launched a new resource page where you can find detailed product guides for each collection.
